We crafted a motion system based on parallax effects, text animations, a custom cursor, and scroll behavior. Tailored Experiences for Mobile and Desktop
The case pages required distinct mobile and desktop versions. Mobile being focused and minimal, desktop richer and more detailed while the rest of the site follows a standard responsive layout. We optimized the Prismic setup to reuse sections wherever possible, balancing efficient content management with these unique device-specific experiences.
Infinite Discovery with Seamless Transitions and Smart Performance
A standout feature is the infinite scroll on the case pages, where each uniquely branded project transitions seamlessly into the next. At the end of each case, a custom animation bridges the shift while the next page preloads just in time to keep the experience fluid. To maintain performance, videos and heavy assets are lazy-loaded shortly before entering view, keeping scrolling smooth and data use minimal. Each case also retains its own URL for SEO and easy sharing.
Built for Flexibility, Engineered for Speed
We built the site with Next.js and Prismic CMS, giving Ballhaus West full control over content from custom pages and media to job listings. Hosting and file storage for uploaded job application files are handled by Vercel, ensuring fast, reliable global delivery. Form submissions trigger email notifications via Resend, keeping their team instantly informed.
